I am a writer and filmmaker based in Amsterdam. I trained as a journalist at the Sunday Times (UK) in 2000 and have worked for newspapers, magazines and online publications ever since, writing about lots of different things.

As well as here, my stories have appeared in the New York Times, BBC World Service, Independent, Dazed and Confused, Nikkei Asia Review and the Bangkok Post. I have lived and worked in London, Glasgow, Sydney, Christchurch, Singapore, Vientiane, and Amsterdam through my career.

I try to tell honest, authentic stories and not to be constrained by industries, beats or topics. I have learned to find my own stories and experiences and get close to my subjects. And as a filmmaker I am pursuing stories that are authentic and untold.
